I enjoy painting landscapes as much as creating my more modern pieces. The surrounding area where I live is rich with colour and presence and I use an SLR camera to photograph, record and paint the beauty I see around me. I try to go beyond simply painting a 'pretty picture' to capture the 'truth', essence and vibration of the living landscape I see and feel as I walk.
